TMACOG, the City of Toledo, Lucas County, Toledo Bikes, Metroparks Toledo, and Toledo Lucas County Public Library held a joint news conference to kick off Bike Month, resulting in stories by all the local TV stations and The Blade.

First Ride? Check Your Helmet

Spring is here which means it's time to dust off your bike and pump up your tires. Be sure to check your helmet too so it can keep you safe in the event of a fall or collision. While helmets are designed to last for several years, they are not indestructible. Spring is just around the corner, and for cyclists, that means it's time to dust off your bikes and hit the road! After a long and cold winter, spring is a welcome change, and it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. If you are looking for a path to ride, check out the Toledo Metroparks website for a list of biking trails in the Northwest Ohio area.

Ride the Lights

Metroparks Toledo is opening its Ride the Lights night trail every Friday and Saturday from 7pm-10pm in Oak Openings Park through the entire month of October.  The trail uses green and white LED rope lighting to guide you across the Mountain Bike Skills Course.
